AVID Property Group’s Exclusive VIP Film Screening of 2040

May 8, 2019 | IN Media Release and News | BY Holly Brennan | 2 min read

In collaboration with global environmental organisation Take 3, AVID Property Group (AVID) is set to wrap up its hugely successful year-long Take 3 for the Sea partnership with a series of three finale events in Sydney on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May 2019.

Launched in June 2018, the partnership has seen AVID and Take 3 co-founder and CEO Tim Silverwood deliver 12 events across five communities, clearing more than 150kg of waste and reaching almost one million people. Ultimately, the events are about supporting the not-for-profit’s simple message to Take 3 for the Sea.

AVID Property Group CEO Cameron Holt said AVID had successfully built on its environmental legacy through the partnership.
“AVID is committed to sustainability, so it’s been a pleasure to join Take 3 in its mission to create a cleaner environment for future generations over the past year,” Mr Holt said.

“Held in each of our residential communities, the series of events have included a local school engagement project, an exclusive film screening and a community clean-up day – with each and every one enabling residents and staff to get behind the Take 3 initiative and make a change in their everyday lives.

“The Take 3 message is so easy, so everyone can make a difference – simply pick-up three pieces of rubbish as you leave the park, beach, waterway or anywhere and you’ve helped contribute to keeping our environment clean.”

Mr Holt said AVID was proud to support Take 3 and encouraged other developers to take a stand on the epidemic that is plastic pollution.
“We have been overwhelmed by the positive response – and results – from each local event and really encourage the rest of the sector to get on board and do whatever they can to help support this fantastic initiative, to take three for the sea,” Mr Holt said.

On Friday 24 May, AVID and Take 3 will host an exclusive VIP film screening of 2040 at Palace Verona Cinema and a clean-up morning at Rushcutters Bay Park, Sydney on Saturday 25 May.
