Community Grants Program Returns To Sunshine Coast

To help support the Sunshine Coast region, Harmony by AVID Property Group (AVID) has once again cemented its commitment to supporting locals, announcing the annual launch of its Community Sponsorship and Grants Program for 2022.
Forming part of Harmony’s overarching Community Engagement and Events Program, the Sponsorship and Grants Program has seen more than $570,000 invested back into the region over the past four years.
AVID’s General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said the Harmony team was proud to bring back the grants program for the fourth consecutive year, to again help residents and community groups thrive and prosper.
“We know that many community clubs and groups have done it tough over the past few years, facing financial pressures and lower than usual participation, which is why we want to continue to give back and support the wider Sunshine Coast region,” Mr Harper said.
“With two grants categories available, local community groups and businesses will be able to apply for our Connect grant, designed to create lasting partnerships in and around the wider Harmony community, or our Activate grant, designed to support local initiatives at a grassroots level within Harmony,” he said.
“Over the past few years we have been overwhelmed by the high calibre of applications, which has enabled us to fund a range of amazing local businesses and groups in and around our growing Harmony community, including those supporting sports, education and the arts.”
Specifically designed to help the local community grow and thrive, the program has previously awarded grants to Sunshine Coast Cricket Association, Sunshine Sign and Sing, Chancellor State College, Maroochydore State Emergency Services and Chancellor Park Soccer Club, along with Palmview State Special School and Palmview State Primary School.
“Launching our Sponsorship and Grants program for 2022 provides an opportunity for Harmony to create a vibrant community for our residents – an initiative that has been underpinned by our commitment to the region,” Mr Harper said.
“We are looking forward to strengthening Harmony’s ties with the local community and continuing our goal of fostering lasting connections with local community groups and businesses important to our residents.”
Applications for Harmony’s Community Sponsorship and Grants Program are now open and will close at midnight on 28 October 2022.
Successful grant recipients will be invited to share their winning initiative at a long table dinner hosted by Harmony in November.
