GRAHAM HOMES IN ON CIRCA METRO

DOWNSIZER Graham Bungate had his eye on Villa World’s $40 million Circa Metro at Nudgee well before the first stage of the contemporary townhome project was completed.
The 77-year-old retiree was the first resident to move into the 88-townhome complex taking shape within the developer’s popular masterplanned community, Circa.
“I was watching what was happening for 12 months and as soon as it was completed I immediately bought in there,” he said.
“I liked it because it was near where I lived and on a hill.”
Mr Bungate said he had been searching for an alternative to his large two-storey home with a swimming pool at Banyo, which had become too much work for him to maintain.
“The stairs were becoming a bit of a problem and the house was just too big for me,” he said.
Keen to downsize while remaining in the same area, Mr Bungate saw the ideal next step as Circa Metro where he snapped up one of the six single-level townhomes in the complex.
“It’s a corner residence with a north-facing roof and a decent backyard that I can potter around in and still do a bit of mowing,” he said.
“I don’t have as much house to clean, and the best part is that it’s brand new.”
Mr Bungate said the move to Circa Metro had brought him closer to nearby Brisbane Airport where he volunteers as an airport ambassador.
Villa World is now selling the fourth and final stage of designer three-bedroom townhomes at Circa Metro.
Villa World development manager Geoff Burn said construction was progressing on the second stage of the architect-designed project which has amassed $30 million in sales to date.
“The low maintenance aspect has been a big drawcard for buyers looking for a contemporary residence and lifestyle in a well established area,” he said.
“They also like the affordable price point and the location within minutes of the airport and Gateway Motorway, and just 12km from the CBD.”
Circa Metro’s townhomes are taking shape around a landscaped central lifestyle precinct which includes a swimming pool and residents’ cabana with barbecue and entertaining area.
Each of Circa Metro’s three-bedroom townhomes features open-style kitchens with stainless steel appliances and stone benchtops, open-plan living areas leading to an outdoor entertaining patio, and a lock-up garage.
Some designs offer extras such as a study nook or an additional car space.
The community is close to a range of primary, secondary and tertiary educational facilities including Nudgee College, Australian Catholic University and Earnshaw State College.
Circa Metro’s remaining townhomes are priced from $460,000.
