VILLA WORLD UNVEILS BAYSIDE’S WATERLINE

May 14, 2015 | IN Media Release and News | BY Holly Brennan | 3 min read

LEADING Queensland residential developer Villa World has launched its Waterline community at Thornlands, the company’s fourth community on Brisbane’s Bayside.

Waterline will comprise up to 230 lots with some home sites offering sought after views of spectacular Moreton Bay.

Villa World development manager Peter Johnson said strong sales at the company’s Mount Cotton Village community as well as strong demand for new homes in the area had prompted the launch of Waterline.

“Pre-launch inquiry for Waterline has been strong, particularly from the local market,” he said.

“The buyer response to Villa World’s three other communities in the Redlands area has revealed a high level of pent-up demand from end-users seeking high quality housing at an affordable price.

“Ultimately, this is the most desirable land in Redland Bay and there are very limited opportunities to build a dream home east of Cleveland Redland Bay Road.

“Because of that, we felt the time was right for us to bring on Waterline to the market.”

Villa World’s acquisition of an adjoining site in December increased Waterline’s offering by around 50 additional lots.

Bordered by bushland and offering easy access to local arterial roads, Waterline has stage one lots ranging in size from 408sqm to an impressive 1097sqm.

Villa World has expanded its offering at Waterline by offering both house and land packages as well as land-only options to buyers.

The developer has implemented design covenants at Waterline to ensure a high standard of home design and construction in order to protect the investment of all residents in the community.

The estate is located on Cleveland-Redland Bay Road just two kilometres from Moreton Bay and close to a range of public and private schools, shopping centres, recreational facilities and medical services.

Construction of the community will include the rehabilitation and natural regeneration of 6.5 hectares of retained bushland including new tree plantings.

Villa World will also construct part of the Moreton Bay Bicycle Link which will connect Waterline’s residents to Pinklands Sporting Park to the north and future development sites to the south.

Mr Johnson said Villa World had received interest and commitments from several builders who would establish the Redlands’ largest display village in the community in the coming months.

“The display precinct will give prospective buyers a great insight into the lifestyle they can expect at Waterline,” he said.

Villa World is nearing completion of the first two of Waterline’s nine land stages.

Stage one lots at Waterline are priced from $304,000 and part of the community will have bay views.

It will be the first project to be rolled out under the South East Thornlands Structure Plan, which calls for the integration of housing within a regional network of cycle and foot paths, open space regional parklands, facilities and traffic connectivity.

The launch of Waterline brings Villa World’s workbook in the Redlands area to in excess of $500 million, making it the company’s most active area for development.

Villa World’s other projects in the area are Mt Cotton Village, East Ridge at Thornlands and Era in Capalaba.

Established in 1986, Villa World is Queensland’s oldest ASX-listed housing developer and one of Australia’s largest housing providers.

Villa World creates value through a simple philosophy of quality craftsmanship, design innovation and enduring relationships. Today, more than 35,000 Australians call a Villa World address home.
