Suncorp Super Netball team Sunshine Coast Lightning has received a bolt of energy with its Foundation Premium Partnership with AVID Property Group (AVID) confirmed for another year.
The announcement comes as the team commences for the 2024 season, marking the eighth consecutive year of AVID’s partnership with the elite sporting team.
After supporting the team since its inception in 2016, AVID General Manager Queensland Anthony Demiris said AVID was excited to continue its long-standing relationship with the professional team.
“AVID is thrilled to continue its support of Lightning as we extend our corporate sponsorship for another year and put our support behind our local team in the national competition,” Mr Demiris said.
“With a street named after the team, Lightning has built a strong presence with the community at Harmony, and we’re excited to see this engagement grow through our continued partnership.
“Lightning continue to impress its loyal fans across the Sunshine Coast as the talented team gear up for the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season, and we know our residents are excited to see what they achieve this year.
“Both AVID and Lightning hold community as a core value which makes our partnership an easy fit and we encourage our Harmony residents to get out and support the team this season.”
Harmony’s relationship with the team has fostered some amazing moments for residents attending Lightning’s home games at the University of the Sunshine Coast and the community watch parties for the away games over the years.
Storm Group Chief Executive Officer Justin Rodski said the partnership with AVID is one that makes sense, and thanks the organisation for its ongoing support of Lightning.
“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with AVID Property Group for the eighth consecutive year,” Mr Rodski said.
“It’s always special to partner with a Sunshine Coast business, and especially one that values the local community like we do.
“As one of our longest-standing partnerships, we thank AVID for their continued support of our Club, and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2024.”
Lightning is set to play its first match on Sunday 14 April on its home court against the Swifts at the University of the Sunshine Coast Arena.
