The Sunshine Coast Lightning and AVID Property Group (AVID) are thrilled to announce the renewal of their Foundation Premium Partnership for the ninth consecutive year, marking another exciting chapter in this longstanding collaboration.

Local fans showed their support at the first home game on Sunday 13 April 2025 selling out the University of the Sunshine Coast Arena for the match against the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

AVID General Manager Queensland Anthony Demiris expressed his excitement to continue the long-standing relationship.

“AVID is proud to extend our corporate sponsorship of the Lightning, reinforcing our shared commitment to community. The Lightning’s 2025 mantra, ‘Unstoppable Together,’ resonates deeply with our values, and we stand united with the team and their passionate fans,” Mr Demiris said.

“The Lightning have a strong presence in our Palmview community, Harmony, where a street bears their name, and our residents are passionate supporters. The team brings our community together, creating opportunities for residents to attend games, watch parties, and player appearances.”

Justin Rodski, Storm Group Chief Executive Officer, praised the partnership’s longevity and impact.

“We are honoured to continue our partnership with AVID for the ninth consecutive year. Partnering with a like-minded, community-oriented business like AVID is incredibly special,” Mr Rodski said.

“As a partner since our inaugural season in 2016, AVID’s support has been invaluable, and we look forward to achieving great things together in 2025.”

The Lightning’s ongoing presence in the Harmony community strengthens ties through engagement events, home games, and memorable fan interactions, making each season a celebration of sport and community spirit.

The Lightning’s season kicked off on Saturday, 5 April, where they took home a 10-point win against the Melbourne Mavericks at John Cain Arena in Melbourne.
