Wyndham City Council has approved a planning permit for the development of a childcare centre within AVID Property Group’s masterplanned community, Savana.
The permit to build the single-storey centre at 50 Hobbs Road in Wyndham will provide a service for up to 126 children, featuring three generously-sized outdoor play areas totalling 925 square meters.–
Situated opposite Savana’s sprawling neighbourhood park and playground, the centre will provide a valuable service to the community, complementing nearby schools and local shopping centres with easy access from Wyndham Vale Station.
The childcare centre will include seven children’s rooms, one cot room, a kitchen, dry store, laundry, six bathrooms, along with ample space for staff with four storerooms, a prep room, planning room, staff room, office and reception.
With Melbourne’s South West corridor undergoing a high level of change to accommodate for population growth, the approved project is another positive contribution to the thriving community and assists in providing a quality lifestyle to the people of Wyndham.
The building has been architecturally designed to respect the domestic neighbourhood character and natural setting, with construction set to begin in March 2018.
The centre will offer 28 car spaces and operate from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, accommodating for a maximum of 21 staff members at any one time.
Situated on the banks of picturesque Werribee River, Savana offers an inclusive and connected lifestyle designed around the needs of a thriving community. The approved childcare centre ensures residents have everything they need at their doorstep.
