Our story

Diversified, dynamic and driven
AVID is one of the nation’s largest residential developers, creating thriving communities through a commitment to innovation and product diversity, that delivers affordable and sustainable lifestyles for homebuyers and investors in Australia’s key growth markets.

A portfolio of 38 projects across the eastern seaboard states reflects a gross revenue pipeline of $4.9billion, encompassing broadacre land projects, master-planned communities, completed house and land packages, and apartments.

In 2016, AVID Property Group entered into a new ownership and funding arrangement with Proprium Capital Partners, a global private equity business. The strength of Proprium’s financial commitment has allowed AVID Property Group to energetically pursue our growth and diversification strategy over the next five to ten years.

With this focus on expansion and investment in new land assets, AVID added home building expertise and additional communities through the acquisition of ASX-listed Villa World Limited in 2019. This saw the expansion of our portfolio of projects increase from ten to almost forty.

The combined business has strengthened our market share, positioning AVID as a key national property industry contributor with more than 12,000 residential lots across Australia’s eastern states.

This collaborative and strategic approach to doing business, combined with our robust corporate governance procedures, means that we can deliver not only very solid shareholder returns but also projects of real substance and value for the longer term.

We’re also very focused on diversity; not just gender diversity (although almost half of our executives are women), but also of diversity of thought, age, background, culture and of opportunity.

Over the next five years we will grow substantially and you’ll see AVID differently.

In October 2019 we acquired residential property developer Villa World, which saw our portfolio of projects increase from 10 to 37.

The combined business has strengthened our market share, positioning AVID as a key national property industry contributor with more than 12,000 residential blocks across Australia’s eastern seaboard.

However, there’s more to us than the proverbial ‘bricks and mortar’. We are expanding our commitment to local economies by sourcing goods and hiring people locally – with more than 60 jobs created for every home built in an AVID community.

We are contributing to community not just with the usual sponsorship approach but with meaningful infrastructure investment and participation in community development, environmental and sustainability initiatives. We have big ideas and we have the enthusiasm to deliver them.
