AVID Property Group is absolutely committed to building communities that are environmentally responsible and sustainable. And to ensure we are meeting the targets and expectations, each of our projects are assessed under the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) national EnviroDevelopment certification.
Achieving 6-Leaf Accreditation
EnviroDevelopment accreditation, assesses six important criteria. Here’s what we’re doing:
Respect the ecosystem
We strive to protect and enhance existing native ecosystems, encourage natural systems, native biodiversity, and rehabilitate degraded sites wherever possible.
Manage waste carefully
We take every consideration to ensure good management of waste, from recycling of construction material, minimising on-site pollution to reducing waste to landfill.
Use energy thoughtfully
We take steps to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the development, over and above current regulatory requirements.
Use materials sensitively
We carefully consider and encourage use of more local, recycled and re-used, low emission building materials to ensure our communities are brought to life with minimal environmental impact.
Conserve and re-use water
We implement measures to reduce potable water, from waterwise landscaping, providing access to natural resources to recycling wastewater for irrigation of community areas.
Grow community spirit
We take every measure from thoughtful masterplan design to implementation of engaging programs that bring people together and nurture more vibrant, cohesive and inclusive communities.
