New Brand Direction for Top 5 Developer

7 JULY 2026: AVID Property Group (AVID) has announced the sale of the AVJennings brand to NEX Building Group (NEX), in a move which will see the award-winning developer bring all its communities together under a united brand umbrella.
The sale, effective as of 15 May 2026, applies only to the AVJennings brand and not any assets or landholdings. Any existing AVJennings branded assets will now move to trade under the AVID brand over the agreed transition period.
AVID acquired AVJennings in 2025 in a move to bolster its long-term delivery pipeline and CEO Anthony Demiris said the brand sale was the next step in consolidating the developer’s portfolio and bringing all its projects under the one, overarching brand identity.
“What always appealed to us about AVJennings was the strength and breadth of its portfolio – we have made great strides in integrating this into our business and are now in a position to fully embrace these projects under the AVID brand,” Mr Demiris said.
“NEX has a strong track record of delivering quality, residential housing for Australian families, and has the challenger mindset that will see the AVJennings brand continue to succeed under its direction.”
NEX operates McDonald Jones Homes (NSW), Mojo Homes (NSW), Complete by McDonald Jones (NSW), Brighton Homes (QLD), Arden Homes (VIC), Weeks Homes (SA) and Wilson Homes (TAS).
NEX Managing Director Andrew Helmers said taking stewardship of an iconic brand like AVJennings was a true privilege.
“For 95 years AVJennings has been building homes and communities across Australia. We look forward to honouring this incredible legacy for the next 95 years and beyond,” Mr Helmers said.
“We are excited for the opportunities this acquisition provides to NEX as we focus on our goal to become one of Australia’s leading residential builders.”
AVID remains one of Australia’s top five developers by landholdings with a $8 billion pipeline, strong capital backing and a proven track record of award-winning projects.
