A family affair at The Meadows

Friends and family of residents at AVID Property Group’s (AVID) Strathpine community – The Meadows – love visiting the community so much they are deciding to stay, permanently.
Referral sales at the 423-home community make up nearly 20 per cent of all sales with The Meadows fast-tracking the construction of completed homes to keep up with demand.
AVID General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said sales had been booming in the Strathpine community over the last quarter, with sales more than doubling since the Federal Homebuilder Grant announcement in June.
“We have brought forward the construction of an additional 40 homes in Stage 10 to be released prior to Christmas to ensure the availability of registered homes for buyers looking to take advantage of the HomeBuilder Grant while it’s still available,” Mr Harper said.
“The Meadows has sold more than 60 homes over the past three months and has a long list of enquiries for future stages – and our residents have been the community’s greatest ambassadors.”
Joel D’Souza, one of The Meadows’ earlier buyers, purchased his home at the community as a 28-year-old.
“I decided pretty quickly that this was it. This is where I wanted to live,” Joel D’Souza said.
“The team were flexible, the community, location and home catered to all my needs, and it was a complete package with everything included.
“My parents loved The Meadows as much as I did, and they said how they’d love to live here at The Meadows as well, which started as a bit of a joke at first.”
Buyers such as the D’Souza family have been taking advantage of The Meadows U-Rewards programs, offering referral and repeat purchasers cash incentives.
Joel D’Souza’s parents, Glenn and Jules D’Souza purchased their home at The Meadows a couple of years on when the timing was right.
“Joel did all the research, and we were involved in his buying process, so we saw how straight-forward the process was and how convenient it was to live at The Meadows,” Glenn D’Souza said.
“We make sure to give Joel his space, but we do enjoy Monday night dinners as a family every week. It’s great having him nearby whenever we need each other.
“In fact, we are trying to convince our daughter to buy at The Meadows and Jules and I are even looking at purchasing an investment property here as well.”
With the completion of the surrounding riverside parklands and more than 50 per cent of homes at the community, The Meadows is really maturing as a modern residential address.
The healthy, active lifestyle that is promoted here at The Meadows and access to established amenities has been a real drawcard for new home buyers.
The community boasts two kilometres of walking and cycle tracks that loop around the parkland and feature exercise stations and a playground.
The Meadows offers traditional three- and four-bedroom homes priced from $408,000 to $506,000. Additional 3-bedroom Riverside Terrace homes come complete from $380,000 to $385,000 and only 3 remaining.
Low maintenance living in a convenient location provides easy access to major arterial roads, Strathpine Shopping Centre, Strathpine Community Kindergarten, Strathpine State School, a medical centre and a 30-minute train ride to the Brisbane CBD.
