Buyers seek out value in Logan Reserve
May 19, 2022 | IN Media Release and News | BY AVID | 4 min read
Demand in Logan Reserve shows no signs of slowing as local community Chambers Ridge by AVID Property Group sells out of its 16-home release within two hours.
In what has become one of Queensland’s top 20 most popular suburbs for buyers, Logan Reserve saw a total of 404 settlements, or 4.5 per day, in the March quarter.
AVID Property Group General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said buyers were attracted to Logan Reserve for its lifestyle offering and the value proposition.
“Logan continues to rank incredibly highly in all the data being revealed around buying activity and capital growth, with the broader Logan area experiencing an influx of buyers beyond what any other region in Queensland has seen,” Mr Harper said.
“Families and young couples are taking advantage of the accessibility, amenity, green space and value that they’re able to get their hands on within a community like Chambers Ridge.”
Mr Harper said the complexities of building your own home had seen a surge in buyers looking for a new, completed home offering.
“Building your own home has become a more challenging and stressful experience for buyers with cost of supplies increasing and construction companies passing on unexpected costs, so Chambers Ridge’s completed brand new home offering has even more appeal to buyers,” he said.
“With brand new architecturally designed four-bedroom homes starting at $535,000, it’s not surprising buyers are lining up to get their piece of Chambers Ridge.
“We know that supply is a big issue at the moment, so we’re fortunate to have our own in-house team of builders available with Villaworld Homes by AVID Property Group.”
Demand for Chambers Ridge comes following the sellout of its neighbouring community, Killara and the continuing high demand for lots at the Covella estate at Greenbank.
“Killara, saw exponential success, having sold out of 700 blocks of land in less than five years,” Mr Harper said.
“Stages of land at Killara were continuously fast tracked up to 12 months ahead of time to keep up with the continued buyer demand, and Chambers Ridge is now experiencing that same level of demand.”
Chambers Ridge residents Tayla Oxenham and Ashley Johnson settled on their home at the end of 2021, following a move from South Australia and a couple of years of renting.
“We were looking for a lifestyle change, which is why we made the decision to move to Queensland,” Ms Oxenham said.
“We had been renting for a while after moving up and circumstances of our landlord changed, which meant we needed to find a new home quite quickly.
“We loved the lifestyle we had here in Queensland, and we had been saving for a while so decided to look into purchasing a home.
“The most important thing to us was finding somewhere that was affordable, but still safe and beautiful.
“After having a colleague suggest we try Chambers Ridge, we visited and immediately knew it was the right community for us and that was it – we didn’t look anywhere else.”
Ms Oxenham said Chambers Ridge had a sense of community that her and her partner felt at home in.
“We love the area and have really great neighbours. There is a quiet, homely sense of community here and we’re so happy where we are.”
