Community spirit is alive and well for one Greenbank community, Covella by AVID Property Group (AVID) and Greenfields Development Company (Greenfields), as more than 250 residents gathered in the park on Saturday 16 March in celebration of Relationships Australia’s annual Neighbour Day.
Covella’s fourth annual Long Table Dinner united residents for an evening of community bonding, live music, henna, face painting, a dance party for the kids’, and free family-style shared dinner.
Chairman of the joint venture with Greenfields, AVID Executive General Manager Bruce Harper said its important residents connect with their neighbours to strengthen community spirit and applauds ‘Neighbour Day’ as a celebration aimed at doing just that.
“Neighbour Day is an important reminder behind social connections in your neighbourhood and I am pleased to see our Covella community continue to support this initiative through our annual Long Table Dinner,” Mr Harper said.
“The event was a great opportunity for residents to mingle with neighbours, particularly our newest residents, and see what living in a welcoming and family-friendly community is all about.”
The Neighbour Day Event forms part of Covella’s Community Engagement and Events Program, an initiative that allows residents to participate in weekly free fitness classes, community events like a movie in the park and dog park meet ups, along with festive hamper giveaways.
