Excitement brews as coffee kings move into Bloomdale

Excitement is brewing in Diggers Rest as the Bloomdale masterplanned community prepares for the grand opening of its first café – Fifteen Bar – on Saturday 23 February.
Fifteen Bar is the second café to be launched by young couple Nicole Robinson-Beyer and Ashley Beyer, who also operate the highly successful Krash & Co in nearby Sunbury.
AVID Property Group General Manager Victoria Peter Vlitas has no doubt the café would become a hotspot for Bloomdale and popular within the broader Diggers Rest community.
“Fifteen Bar sits in a prime position next to the new Bloomdale Sales and Information Centre and the highly anticipated 20 home display village, which is set to open on 6 April,” Mr Vlitas said.
“The café will be the perfect place to sit back, relax and soak in the vibrant atmosphere at Bloomdale.
“It will also become a popular meeting point for parents following a play-date or for any local fitness fanatics after a workout down the road in our brand-new Valere Park.
“Diggers Rest is growing into a thriving suburb and we’re excited to give residents a place where they feel connected. Some locals have already heard about Fifteen Bar and are quickly spreading the word.”
Krash & Co and Fifteen Bar co-founder Nicole Robinson-Beyer said building a “mini community” was the goal behind their first and, now, second café.
“Suburbs can feel large at times, so it’s important to us to create a local meeting spot and establish a sense of ownership for residents in Diggers Rest,” Ms Robinson-Beyer said.
“We’re also excited to provide the community in Bloomdale with a key hub to catch up with friends and family in a welcoming environment that is also safe for children.”
Fifteen Bar will boast eye-catching pink neon signage, exposed timber and a black and pink colour palette to create a bold, moody atmosphere.
The café will also contain a fully-equipped kitchen to allow its chef to dish up breakfast and lunch favourites from Krash & Co as well as meals from a brand-new menu.
Ms Robinson-Beyer said a second café was something she and husband Ashley had been planning for quite some time.
“The location in Bloomdale allows us to continue to support and build on our existing local partnerships,” she said.
“We’re determined to use as many local suppliers as possible to source fair-trade coffee, fruit and vegetables, bread and milk, meat and even products from local supermarkets.
“It’s a great opportunity to showcase the best parts of Melton and the resources that are available here. We’ve made some valuable connections by thinking and working this way.
“We’re looking forward to providing the local community with employment and training opportunities and are committed to providing our staff at Fifteen Bar with the necessary hospitality and barista skills.”
Located next to Bloomdale’s new Sales and Information Centre on Hero Street, Fifteen Bar will be open daily.
