On Tuesday 25 February, Liberal State Member for Gembrook, Brad Battin MP and AVID Property Group (AVID) celebrated the start of construction on the $68 million Hillstowe community in Officer, with the first sod turned onsite.
The boutique development is one of the newest additions to AVID’s growing portfolio of exceptional masterplanned communities in Victoria. Set on 13.63 hectares the boutique residential community is surrounded by parkland and extensive education options for residents at all stages of life.
Hillstowe by AVID Property Group will deliver 225 homes – with the first lots expected to settle in June 2020, and the community is anticipated to reach completion in November 2021.
Mr Battin is looking forward to welcoming future Hillstowe residents to the community.
“Officer is a wonderful family friendly township that continues to rapidly grow. With many great schools and local sporting clubs on offer, I know the people that call Hillstowe home will enjoy being part of the greater Officer and Cardinia community,” said Mr Battin.
AVID Property Group General Manager Victoria, Peter Vlitas said the development will meet the increasing demand for housing in south-east Victoria where there is lack of supply.
“We have seen a rise in popularity across regional sites as buyers leave inner city locations to upgrade their home and lifestyle,” said Mr Vlitas.
“After years of careful planning Hillstowe will embody country-style values and provide new homes to meet the region’s rising housing requirements, with the Beaconsfield / Officer population expected to more than double by 20361.”
“We are thrilled to break ground on Hillstowe and look forward to celebrating more milestones for the development in the future.”
