Innovative home designs meet SEQ housing demand

As the population boom in South East Queensland (SEQ) continues, savvy builders at AVID Property Group’s Brentwood Forest are using split level blocks to create stylish homes for families that differ from traditional housing products on the market.
Clever home buyers are working with local builders to embrace the creativity of building on a sloping block, with the result being a tailored split-level home with outstanding liveability.
AVID Property Group General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said making use of sloping blocks gave buyers and builders the opportunity to take advantage of the natural features – including the views out over the surrounding bushland – that come with living in Brentwood Forest.
“AVID works with some of the best builders in South East Queensland who create homes on sloping blocks giving them the opportunity to show off their skills,” Mr Harper said.
“People want to love their homes and feel like it is truly their own, like they’ve had a hand in the design and detail.
“These split level homes provide an opportunity to own a home that feels like a high-end designer housing product – including spectacular views over bushland, elevation and practical, well thought-out floor plans – without the high-end designer price tag.”
Brentwood Forest has a range of larger blocks from 500m2 currently available, perfect for twostorey, split level homes.
SEQ has been the fastest-growing region in Australia since 19911 and the Greater Springfield area, where Brentwood Forest is located, is expected to have a population of more than a million by the year 20362.
CJ Homes Sales Consultant Lia York said developers and builders had increased the use of sloping blocks to meet demand for homes in certain areas.
“Not all lots can be flat and what better way to embrace a split-level lot than with an interesting plan to suit your requirements,” Ms York said.
“An advantage to having a split-level home is the open-plan living and balcony on the top level – you can enjoy your morning coffee, take in the great views of the surrounding area and relish the breeze from being elevated.”
Split level homes in Brentwood Forest offer up to four-bedrooms, a two car garage and two bathrooms from $495,500 – all built within a community surrounded by beautiful green bushland, forest trails and state-of-the-art parks.
