AVID Property Group’s (AVID) push for more active and inspiring residential developments has been fueled by the appointment of two highly regarded Development Managers to its Victorian operations.

Chris Monahan – previously at Capitol Property Group – has been appointed Senior Development Manager at Bloomdale by AVID Property Group, while Chris Ravat has joined AVID’s Savana project as its Development Manager from Satterley Property Group.

AVID continues to strengthen its foothold in Victoria, with the Australian developer announcing a third project in Victoria – a new $25 million, 205-lot residential community – in the south-eastern growth suburb of Officer earlier this month.

Moving over from managing Capitol’s 1,600-lot community in Sunbury (Sunbury Hills), Mr Monahan said he was eager to take a different approach in the highly-competitive Diggers Rest market, where he will lead the team to deliver the $1 billion, 1,658-lot master-planned Bloomdale community.

“AVID has worked tirelessly to bring this growing community to life and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team as we prepare to take Bloomdale to the next level,” Mr Monahan said.

“It’s a competitive market that requires us to move rapidly, but rather than simply getting in and sub-dividing land, we are striving to genuinely activate and inspire our community as much as possible.

“We’re fast-tracking retail and social infrastructure, we’re connecting with local schools and championing local businesses in every way we can to build engagement with the community.

“We want to create a place where people aspire to live, engage with their neighbours and take pride in their homes and gardens, and the team has been working hard to achieve this from day one,” he said.

With more than a decade of experience working on developments across Australia – including Peet’s Golden Bay in Western Australia and Satterley’s Arcadia in Victoria – Mr Ravat said he was excited to be managing one of AVID Victoria’s highly successful developments, Savana.

“This is an exciting time for AVID and I’m thrilled to be part of the team as we progress to even more sustainable practices, creating places with integrated transport networks and a focus on wide open space,” Mr Ravat said.

“AVID’s leadership team is focused on developing quality product in a creative and innovative way.
