The term connected community has been taken to a whole new level by leading developer AVID Property Group (AVID), with its Brentwood Forest masterplanned community officially opening its new $1.2 million forest trail.
The new shared walking and cycling pathway will weave through surrounding woodlands and connect Brentwood Forest’s state-of-the-art parks – including the new $1.4 million Tucker Family Park and ever-popular Rotary Park – with resident pathways and shared public green spaces.
AVID Property Group General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said the completion of the pathway has come at a perfect time for local residents.
“The pathway in Brentwood Forest is a first for AVID Queensland developments,” said Mr Harper.
“Residents and visitors from surrounding areas will be able to use the pathway for a number of activities, whether it be going for a run, taking the family dog for a walk or simply to get between each of the six Brentwood Forest Jewels – the Fitness and Play Park, Rotary Park and Pooch Parks, to name a few.
“The warmer months are approaching, and Queensland’s afternoon sun will make the pathway ideal for a picturesque stroll under the shade of the surrounding trees.”
The forest trail, which is around 1500 steps in length, almost one kilometer, is the newest addition to Brentwood Forest’s much-loved jewels – 42-hectares of natural open space with an inspiring backdrop to connecting the community together.
“People will be able to walk between the new 1600 square metre dog park, the newly finished puppy park, the Tucker Family Park and the outdoor gym and Rotary Parks, all the while enjoying the scenic route,” said Mr Harper.
“There are so many benefits of having one central walking and cycling trail connecting the community, not least because walking is so great for physical health – I can see a lot of residents using this pathway as a part of their weekly fitness routine.”
The new forest trail comes after the official opening of the Tucker Family Park earlier this year, which includes an Australian-first in playground design – a four-level, nine-metre cube tower, complete with 18-metre slide.
Brentwood Forest is located in Greater Springfield and has a range of amenities purpose-built to connect the community – close to all that matters with house and land packages suitable for many lifestyles and budgets.
