New appointment boosts AVID’s local Coast team

July 25, 2018 | IN Media Release and News | BY AVID | 2 min read

AVID Property Group has strengthened the team at the company’s flagship development, Harmony on the Sunshine Coast, with the recent appointment of property young-gun Ayisha Boaden.

Ayisha Boaden has joined the ambitious development company as Assistant Development Manager and will be responsible for managing infrastructure obligations and financial modelling.

The appointment comes as the booming development brings its total number of blocks sold since it launched in November 2016, to more than 700 lots.

Formerly an Assistant Development Manager at Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) and Horizon Housing, Ms Boaden brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role on the Coast.

Ms Boaden said her appointment with AVID brought her back to what she loved – being on-the-ground and across all elements of a development.

“I love being involved in all facets of the project – it’s exciting to see how my role has a direct influence on the outcome and quality of the final product,” Ms Boaden said.

“Since starting out in the industry, I have really grown to enjoy the analytical side of the business. I have been able to develop strong interrogative data skills over the course of my career, allowing me to efficiently analyse project financials and legal frameworks to inform decision making and ultimately improve business outcomes. I’m hoping to build on these skills and apply them to a number of areas including the financial modelling side of the role.

“What I like about Harmony, and what attracted me to the role, was the opportunity to work as part of AVID’s core team, working closely with an expansive consultant team to deliver the Harmony development.

“Harmony is such a dynamic project – I’m excited to be working on-the-ground managing a range of tasks from infrastructure obligations and staging plans to stakeholder engagement,” she said.

Ms Boaden started her young but impressive career in the industry shortly after graduating and attaining her Masters of Infrastructure Management at just 23 years-old, managing a 52-lot project at Horizon Housing valued at $8.5 million.

AVID General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said Ms Boaden’s previous experience across both government and private sectors would be invaluable to the team.

“Ayisha’s ability to recognise gaps in processes and reinvent them to maximise efficiency, will make her an asset to us here at AVID and on-the-ground at Harmony,” Mr Harper said.
