One Year, Two Launches, Three Thousand Residents. AVIDReflects on Its First Year of Land Lease Living.

This month AVID Property Group (AVID) marked one year since the launch of its land lease communities (LLC) business, Vantage by AVID, with the developer having earmarked more than $800 million to grow the portfolio through six new greenfield projects.

One year later, two of these projects are already in market across two of Australia’s most populous states1, and three more projects are set to launch to market later this year.

AVID General Manager Land Lease Communities Manuel Lang said the growth to the Vantage portfolio within just the first year of operation reflected the strong demand from the over 50s market for a modern, flexible approach to housing.

“The past year has seen a series of key milestones across our Vantage portfolio – from breaking ground on new communities to welcoming our very first residents at our new Hervey Bay community,” Mr Lang said.

“We’ve had the chance to really showcase our vision for our Vantage communities – opening display homes and unveiling plans for our multi-million-dollar resort-style community amenities.

“This success and continued interest in these projects has been a true reflection of the importance of unlocking new housing stock for the growing cohort of baby boomer Australians, and by doing so freeing up their suburban family homes for the next generation of aspiring homeowners.”

AVID’s Vantage portfolio now includes 11 communities across Queensland and Victoria, seven of which were operational and fully occupied sites acquired from existing operator Living Gems. The acquisition has enabled AVID’s new Vantage real estate arm to work with customers to sell or upgrade their home, welcoming a new market to these existing, established communities across South East Queensland.

“We are excited to continue to welcome people home to Vantage communities across Australia, where they will join the nearly 3,000 residents in our established communities who have experienced first-hand AVID’s passionate, customer-led approach to residential housing,” Mr Lang said.

“For this demographic of buyers, authenticity is invaluable, and we have enjoyed every opportunity we’ve had to be on the ground, meeting residents and hearing their unique life stories that have led them to a home with Vantage.
