Savana welcomes first residents

AVID Property Group (AVID) has welcomed the first residents into its new $129 million residential development, Savana, in Wyndham Vale.

Hayley and Harley Walkeden, and their three children, are among the first of 2,000 residents expected to move into the community over the next three years.

“We have lived within Wyndham Vale for the past six years and wanted to buy our first home in the same area to stay close to family and friends,” Mrs Walkeden said.

“Savana was the perfect fit for our family as it’s close to everything we need – train and bus stations, Manor Lakes Shopping Centre and local p-12 school for our kids – so this made the location very appealing.

“The warm community atmosphere really attracted us, along with the many pathways to walk the family dog or for the children to ride their bikes.”

The couple said the Savana team were incredibly supportive throughout the entire purchasing journey.

“We found the building process of our 448m2 block amazingly easy and some items on our wish list already came included such as a 900mm oven and stovetop and a driveway.” Mrs Walkeden said.

“The price difference between residential estates in the area was huge – Savana was the best fit for us as there were a variety of options to suit our budget.

“Our children were very excited when the new Savana community park opened, and we are really enjoying kicking a ball around in the new space.”

AVID General Manager Victoria Peter Vlitas said welcoming the first residents to Savana was the beginning of many milestones for the 640-lot community.

“Savana has been years in the making and it is rewarding to finally see our first residents settling in and buyers’ dreams becoming a reality,” Mr Vlitas said.

“We are looking forward to hosting a range of events to follow the recent opening of our community park that will help residents meet their neighbours and develop lifelong friendships.

“There is a hive of activity onsite, and with several homes due for completion this year we can’t wait to watch our community continue to grow in the heart of Wyndham Vale.”

Once complete, Savana will feature 640 homes and four hectares of open space including the impressive multi-use community park.
