#Take3fortheSea launches at Harmony!

What an incredible turnout we had at our very first #Take3fortheSea events on 22 and 23 June!
We were overwhelmed with the number of Sunshine Coast locals and AVID staff who joined us in learning about how we can reduce plastic pollution and do more to protect our marine environment.
We had an incredible day on Friday 22 June at the Montessori International College in Forest Glen, where Take 3 co-founder Tim Silverwood spoke with students on the issue of plastic pollution and the message behind #Take3forthesea.
On Friday evening we were joined by more than 230 Sunshine Coast locals at our exclusive screening and Q&A session of the award-winning documentary, Blue the film, at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Want to view the film before your state hosts its #Take3fortheSea events? You can download Blue the film on iTunes and watch it wherever you are.
More than 70 people turned out on Saturday 23 June to help #Take3fortheSea at Mooloolaba Beach. Participants spent just one hour to collect a staggering 80kg of waste from the beach and surrounding areas, with the clean-up session followed by a full waste audit and discussion with Tim Silverwood.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in launching our first series of Take 3 events, we certainly learnt a lot and are looking forward to sharing the #Take3fortheSea message across AVID and each of our five residential communities.
