40 residents and local businesses from Harmony by AVID Property Group (AVID) attended an exclusive sneak peek and walk through of the highly anticipated Bruce Highway connection road on Saturday 26 August.
Harmony’s development team accompanied residents and the community on a one hour tour along a nearly completed section of the connection road, informing residents about the construction and planning process and provided an update on the final stages.
AVID Property Group General Manager Queensland, Anthony Demiris said the exclusive tour was a first for the community and an opportunity to have questions answered from the Development team – as well as to see the progress for themselves.
“The exclusive tour, which is one element of the broader commitment to keep the community updated as Harmony continues its delivery of key infrastructure is testament to AVID’s approach in proactive and positive engagement with the Harmony community,” Mr Demiris said.
“Tour attendees got to see firsthand the progress of the road and gain a better understanding of how a road is constructed, the challenges of building large infrastructure and how the wider road network connects together.
“It has been a long and incredibly complex journey to deliver this vital, long-awaited, piece of infrastructure to the community and we are pleased to offer events like these to cover all the latest development updates.”
The exclusive tour marks an exciting opportunity for AVID to deliver an invaluable learning experience to the community, with the first reveal of the roads progression and education around building major road infrastructure.
The Bruce Highway connection is one of four roads planned to connect Palmview to the wider community and is due for completion by the end of 2023.
The first connection, Peter Crosby Way was completed in 2017 and, following the delivery of the Bruce Highway connection, AVID will in the future construct a two-lane Southern Road link followed by a connection to Springhill Drive in Sippy Downs.
