New Over 55s Community for Hervey Bay

Construction is underway on a new land lease community at a 23-hectare site at Hervey Bay that will provide 300 brand-new homes for over 55s and resort-inspired amenities in the heart of the Fraser Coast.
The new community, Vantage Hervey Bay, is the first project in the region for AVID Property Group (AVID), an award-winning Australian builder-developer with 37 developments located in key growth areas across the nation’s eastern seaboard.
AVID celebrated the occasion with a sod-turning ceremony attended by Fraser Coast Division Eight Councillor Denis Chapman, AVID General Manager Land Lease Communities Manuel Lang, AVID General Manager Queensland Anthony Demiris as well as its build team from Villaworld Homes by AVID – the 2024 Housing Institute of Australia’s National Professional Major Builder.
AVID General Manager Land Lease Communities Manuel Lang said Hervey Bay was a natural choice for one of its first land lease communities because of the idyllic coastal location and market demand.
“We see Vantage Hervey Bay appealing to Australians wanting to take advantage of a relaxed coastal lifestyle while enjoying the benefits of living in a brand-new, low maintenance home in a secure environment,” Mr Lang said.
“With more than three hectares of green space and a range of community facilities – like a clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, gym and a bowling green – the new community has been carefully designed to provide residents with a sense of freedom, convenience and security.
“We’re looking forward to opening our new Sales and Information Centre at Kawungan in mid-2024 and delivering these new amenities and homes over the coming months and years.”

Under the land lease model, Vantage Hervey Bay homeowners will pay a simple weekly site fee to cover management and maintenance of the community, access to all amenities and local council rates.
